Framed Scrapbook Page

It has been a while since I did any scrap-booking. A board member at my work recently adopted a baby and I was asked to make something for a small celebration we are having for her. I thought a single scrapbook page framed would be a cute gift. I didn't have any baby stamps and didn't really want to order some, so I decided to purchase some from My Digital Studio. It is like virtual stamping! It is a fraction of the cost and you can download your purchase right to your computer after you buy it. You just need the MDS software/program on your computer. However, it also gives you an option to download it to other programs. You can check it out through my Stampin Up website.

I made a page and put the different stamps I wanted to use on it. The photo quality is not great because I just took them with my phone, but you get the idea.

I printed out this page and cut out the images to apply to the page.

Here is a look at the final product. Now they can just add their own pictures to it and hang it somewhere. I am really excited about how it turned out. :)

Here is another scrapbook page I made last year. I did not use MDS for this. I wanted a calendar for my kitchen that was dry erase and cute. Since it's framed I can write on the glass with a dry erase marker and then just wipe it off. I have seen similar things on Pinterest. The frames I used for these projects are from Hobby Lobby and I got them half off so they were only $5 each.

I hope you like these projects. If you are interested in making your own and would like some help I offer classes on these types of things through Stampin Up! Have a great day and happy crafting!

Welcome to my new crafting blog!

Hello! I have been wanting to do this for a while and am so excited to finally have a place to blog about all of my creations. Thanks for taking the time to check this out and I hope you will do so often as I am always crafting something and will post as much as I can.

First of all you may be wondering... who is Lucy? Well that's me! At least to my grandma and uncle. For as long as I can remember they have called me Lucy. I don't even know why. What was once a silly name to me as a child has turned into a endearing nickname that I knew I wanted to use for my crafting business.

I have a lot of projects I want to show so this first blog will include some of my most recent cards I have made for Stampin Up. Did I mention I am a Stampin Up demonstrator? Yep, I am. I was looking for something to do part time and couldn't be happier to do it! It also helps justify my crafting addiction. Hehehe. You can go to my Stampin Up Demonstrator website by clicking the link on the right of this page at any point. Or you can just go to www.lucyslovelies.stampinup.net now.

I never thought that my job and crafting would get to combine but working at an adoption agency we will send cards to our adoptive parents from time to time to give them encouragement while they are waiting to be matched. Here are a coulple of cards I made for this.

For this card I used some of the new In Colors; Gumball Green and Midnight muse. Then I used a stamp set (for the flowers) that is only available for this month! It is the "Reason to Smile" promotion. If you order $50 worth of product in July, you can get this stamp set for only $5! You can also choose if you want it in clear mount or wood mount. I really like how this card turned out.

This next one is also using the "Reason to Smile" set and is another flower in the set.

Here is one more with another flower from the set and it has a little bling!

I still can't believe you can get that stamp set for just $5! Well these are just to start you out. I will be posting many more and give more detailed instructions on how I made them. Hope you enjoy!
