Centerpiece

So I am so excited because we just repainted our dining room. I got it all ready to host my stamping classes. However, I really wanted a centerpiece for our table. We have a small 4 person, square table and I didn't want it to take up a lot of room. So today I went to Michael's (the craft store) and found the perfect little thing. The supplies are below for what I used. Everything was a least 40% off! The "vase" is perfect because the bottom half is orange, just like our walls.

It was really pretty simple to make. However, make sure to use wire cutters. I tried to use scissors, like a dork, to cut the flowers. Then it's just a matter of arranging them how you like. I love how it turned out and think it is a perfect fit for our dining room. Future guests be excited! You no longer have to eat dinner on our couch!

Do the Can Can!

I super excited that I have planned Stamping Classes for the rest of the year. I also am in the process of redecorating our dining room so it will be ready for hosting crafting madness! So here is what I have planned for this month.

Do the Can Can! We will harvest several mini cards and perfectly preserve them in a beautifully decorated mason jar until they are ripe for the picking. The cost is $20, or $15 if you place an order.

Aug 19
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

This will show off the Perfectly Preserved Bundle from the Holiday Catalog. It will make for a super cute gift, or give you a supply of  hand made cards for different situations.

For this project I used a wide mouth mason jar. and covered it with some of Stampin Up's own fabric.

Here are some sample of the cards we are making to put inside the jar. They are 3"x3" mini cards and some little labels to put on gifts. I use my jar to store pens and markers in. :)

If you are interested in attending my class you can RSVP on my Stampin Up web site under the events section. While you are there you can check out the rest of the events for the year. :)

First Blog Hop! Back to School Theme

Hi everyone!

So some of the ladies in my group of fellow Stampin Up Demonstrators have decided to do a blog hop. We are called Ladybug Ink and we love to stamp! We will be doing this once a month. You all are in for a real treat because these ladies have all been doing this a lot longer than me and are pretty talented.

The theme for our first blog hop is "Back to School." For my part I made a cute little card using the Perfectly Preserved Bundle from the Holiday Catalog. I did not have any school type stamps so I used the apples (since you often see apples in school themes).

My card could be given to a teacher and has a little place to hold a pencil or pen as a small gift for him or her.  I decorated a pencil to add to my card. I stuck the apple on using a dimensional.

I hope you enjoyed my back to school card and click on the icons below to view the other blogs in the blog hop. Have fun!
