Thanksgiving Blog Hop!

Welcome blog hoppers! This month our theme is Thanksgiving. I learned a cool technique from Ruth's blog and had to try it. By using a few baby wipes and some re-inkers I made a tri-colored stamp pad. The colors I used were Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie (of course). It was really easy and my Magnificent Maple stamp is a beautifully fall colored leaf! I used it to make my own DSP and then added an expressions thinlit die to top it off! Enjoy!

Up next is Michelle. Happy hopping!

September Blog Hop

This month we are featuring products from the Holiday Catalog. I got my This and That Holiday Planner all ready for the holiday season. I used some DSP, stickers, and washi tape to make it fabulous.

I also made some fun dividers for all the little sections. Check out this video to see all the great features of this planner.

Here is the hop line up. Next is Michelle. Have fun!

A mini convention and this month's paper pumpkin

I have a random assortment today for you. First of all, right now Stampin Up's yearly convention is going on and I was unable to attend. It is an amazing event for demonstrators. A few of us met last night at Ruth's house and had a little mini convention since we couldn't go. Check out Ruth's blog. She came up with these awesome projects. We made a magnetic board and a card holder with a couple great cards. It was so fun.

Here is this month's Paper Pumpkin project. I wanted to promote Paper Pumpkin a minute because there is a special going. From now through August 31, 2013, new Paper Pumpkin subscribers can use the promo code PUMPKINDEAL to join Paper Pumpkin for only $10 a month for the first two months! You can sign up through this link https://mypaperpumpkin.com/en/?demoid=2100193
Here is this month's project. It's some cute banners. I made mine reversible. Don't you love the cute mini clothespins?

A Season For Weddings

The summer months are always filled with wedding activities. Here are a couple of cards I made that have to do with weddings.

The first one is an invitation to a bridal shower. It's sweet and simple and I think it has this overall creamy feeling to it.

The next card is an actual wedding invitation and a bit more complicated. It has a pocket sort of design and the actual invitation slides inside. I embossed 300 of these puppies! With glitter mind you! It was well worth it though because it was for my uncle's wedding. I love how they turned out.

A Simple Note Card

Here is a simple note card I made. I used DSP that had octagons and then used the octagon embossing folder on top of it. Then I stamped on the reverse side of the same DSP with the Just For You stamp in Pool Party to give it a cool effect. Super simple and cute card.  Enjoy!

Engagement Party Decorations

My cousin is getting married next year and her fiance was in town (he lives in Tennessee). So, I decided to throw them an engagement party. First because I love them, and second because I knew I would get to make really cute crafts. The one I want to show you today will of course feature Stampin Up! I have an epic tree and deck in my back yard. If you remember from my Easter blog I hung decorations on it. Well, we wanted a cute way to feature some pictures at the party so I thought of the tree. We hung pictures with twine all over the tree. The front had a picture and the back had a fun fact about the couple. We put the pictures on some card stock and then clipped them to the twine with a clothespin. We covered the pins with washi tape. It turned out so cute! Take a look.

Here is my beautiful cousin and a larger view of the tree.

And just for fun here are some of the other decorations.

It was a beautiful party and so much fun to plan.
I love you Haylee and Phillip and wish you all the best!

New Catalog Blog Hop!

So if you haven't seen it already you have to check out the new catalog (ask me for one). It is beautiful. For this month's blog hop we are featuring some new products from the catalog. Hope you enjoy and are inspired. For my card I used two new sets; Mosaic Madness and Label Love. I also used the new simply pressed clay. It is amazing! You can use the molds to and add color so you can make any color you want! It's so much fun. It is wedding season so this is a card I gave to someone at a bridal shower.

Here is a closer look at the rose mold I made.

Happy hopping!

Retiring Items Blog Hop

This is a somewhat sad blog hop because it is that time of the year where we say goodbye to some of our favorite stamps. My stamp that I chose is not really retiring as much as it did not make it into the main catalog from the holiday and spring catalogs. Stampin Up will sometimes carry over stamps to the annual catalog from the mini catalogs but it didn't make the cut and I was a little sad because mason jars are so popular right now. However on a more positive side we get to welcome a bunch of brand new stamps to the mix so it totally makes up for it. Here is my tribute and farewell to the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set.

Be sure to check back for updates on when my stamp camp will be for the new catalog. I will also be selling retired stamps for 50% off. As for now check out the rest of the blog hop. Up next is Michelle

Administrative Professional"s Day and the Annual Mother's Day Tea Card Class!

So today is Administrative Professional's Day and the Administrative Assistant at my office just so happens to be my upline in Stampin Up! She does a wonderful job and I don't know what we would do without her. I was elected to make her card and something pretty and here is what I decided to do. You may have guessed it... a flower arrangement/centerpiece. I don't know what it is but I'm having so much fun making them lately. I started with a mason jar and a doily. I used the stamp set Tea Shoppe (which sadly will be retiring this year from the catalog so get it while you can). All the stamps you see here are from that set. So here is the jar.

I went for a simple elegance and pink is the main color throughout this because Amber loves pink! Here is the card.

And here they are together with a rosette.

Here is the finished product with the flowers added.

I think she liked it. :)

On an unrelated note, on Tuesday I will be having my annual Mother's Day Tea Card Class. It is a class where we make a Mother's Day card and have a full out tea party. It is so much fun! Please look on my site to RSVP http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/lucyslovelies/events?id=880595. We will also be making mom a special handmade gift this year. You won't want to miss it. Here is the card we are making.

Centerpiece

So for some reason I have been getting into making centerpieces lately. My family got together last weekend to celebrate several exciting things. One of them is my grandparents upcoming 50th anniversary. I wanted to make them something special and here is what I came up with. It features the awesome rosette die and some items from the spring catalog. Hope you like it.

Here is my grandma with it. Isn't she lovely? :)

Birthday Blog Hop

It's that time again and this month's hop features birthday cards. I combined a couple of stamps to make my card. I have the Road to Happiness stamp set sitting around and have not really used it much. So I dusted it off and made it work for a birthday card. I added Crystal Effects to the windshield to make it look more like a window. Hope you like it!

Stampin Up! is making me girly...

So here's the deal. Normally I am not a fan of frilly things or pink or butterflies, but lately I am getting more drawn to those things when it come to Stampin Up! products. Well I really overdid it the other night. I meet monthly with fellow demonstrators and we exchange card fronts to get ideas. In March, we did an over the top card swap and met and made each other's card designs. You are about to look at my design and the girly-est thing I have ever made, and I love it. It mostly features products from the spring catalog and kinda has that calm pink and beige look everyone is using in their weddings now-a-days. Hope you enjoy!
