January Blog Hop

It's that time again and the theme of this month's blog hop is focusing on the Spring Catalog and Sale-a-bration. For my project I wanted to do something to show off the beautiful Artisan Embellishment Kit from the Spring Catalog. One of the many perks to being a demonstrator is that I get to pre-order items from the catalog. So this was something I made for my secret santa at work back in Decemeber. She is a hard working mom  in need of some relaxation. I decided I wanted to make her a mom emergency care kit. I wanted it to be something beautiful to hold some things to help her relax. I found a wooden treasure chest looking thing at Hobby Lobby and went to embellishing. All you need is the Artisan Embellishment Kit (129328), Paper Doilies (129399), and a hot glue gun. I emblellished it and lined the inside with paper doilies. Then I filled it with de-stress bath salts, lavendar lotion, and candles, as well as face masks and other goodies.

Hope you enjoyed this. Now on to the next blog! She is new to our hop. Give a big welcome to the very talented Michelle Carrion
Here is the whole list just in case you need it:

Hand made gifts

For the past several years I have been trying to make the majority of my Christmas gifts. This year I had a lot fun using Stampin Up! products to do so. As promised here are some of the gifts I made. The first section here is hair accessories. I made hair bands and hair clips for my friends' daughters.

The flowers are made with Stampin Up fabric, buttons, and baker's twine, and cut out using the Big Shot. Then I just stitched them together and hot glued them to a clip and clipped them on the head band. This way, they can wear the head band or the clip.

The next are just clips. I used some fun new products from the spring catalog. It is full of beautiful stuff (let me know if you want a spring catalog)! I attached them with hot glue. For the one with the mini pop tops, I put crystal effects over it to protect the image.

The next project I made was embellishing letters and words. I used fabric on these as well as buttons, twine, etc.

The last project was a sketch journal I covered with designer series paper and used the Broadsheet Alphabet Stamp Set.

I hope this shows you that Stampin Up! is more than just card making. You can do so many creative things with their products and I have so much fun with it! I hope you will too. Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used and remember you can always order from me online.

New Spring Catalog!

I just got home from a meeting with some fellow demonstrators and we did a card exchange using items from the new spring catalog and sale-a-bration. It just helped me fall more in love with the catalog and I'm excited to start planning my classes for the year. The card I swapped featured DSP, a new embossing folder and a pinwheel die from the catalog. It used a stamp set and punch I earned from the sale-a-bration flier. You really need to check out the amazing things that you can earn. For every $50 you spend you get to choose something free from the sale-a-bration flier. Check out my website for more details towards the end of the month when sale-a-bration begins. Here is the card!

There are some other pretty cool promotions going on right now. You can always find them the promotions section on my website.
