Valentine's Blog Hop!

Welcome to the hop! This month's theme is Valentine's Day. I LOVE VALENTINE'S DAY! I don't know what it is, but it is my favorite. It may have to do with all the chocolate. So, I have had so much fun doing projects for this holiday. As I have been searching the stores for decorations, I noticed that this year they are selling a lot of paper mailboxes. I thought they were cute and almost bought one when it hit me... WAIT! I am a paper crafter. I can make my own. So here you have it!

I tried to keep track of what I was doing so I could give directions on here but it got a little complicated. You kinda just have to eyeball a lot of it. Just make sure you have scoring tools, sticky strip, and a little patience. All the paper I used is from the spring catalog. The pinwheel is made with the die from the spring catalog as well. Then I used the regular heart punch and the mini one. The stamp is from the You Are Loved stamp set (123777). And the best part about this is... this is going to be my door prize at my Valentine class this weekend! If you haven't RSVPed yet there is still plenty of room. Just remember it is now on Saturday the 9th at 4pm. $10 for 5 Valentines.

I hope you enjoyed my project. Here is the list of the hop.

Punchs and Stamps Are Sweet On Eachother

You may be thinking, what a weird title for a post. Let me explain. One of my favorite things about Stampin Up's products are that so many of the punches, dies, and stamps coordinate with each other. It makes the cards that much more amazing! And why are they sweet on each other. For Valentines of course. Here is an example.

The love stamp from the You Are Loved stamp set (123777) is punched out using two different punches. The back is stamped in Pool Party and punched out with the Decorative Label punch (120907). The front is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched with the Large Oval punch (119855). There are so many stamps that have coordinating dies and punches. Be sure to check them out and start giving your cards that extra dimension.
