Administrative Professional"s Day and the Annual Mother's Day Tea Card Class!

So today is Administrative Professional's Day and the Administrative Assistant at my office just so happens to be my upline in Stampin Up! She does a wonderful job and I don't know what we would do without her. I was elected to make her card and something pretty and here is what I decided to do. You may have guessed it... a flower arrangement/centerpiece. I don't know what it is but I'm having so much fun making them lately. I started with a mason jar and a doily. I used the stamp set Tea Shoppe (which sadly will be retiring this year from the catalog so get it while you can). All the stamps you see here are from that set. So here is the jar.

I went for a simple elegance and pink is the main color throughout this because Amber loves pink! Here is the card.

And here they are together with a rosette.

Here is the finished product with the flowers added.

I think she liked it. :)

On an unrelated note, on Tuesday I will be having my annual Mother's Day Tea Card Class. It is a class where we make a Mother's Day card and have a full out tea party. It is so much fun! Please look on my site to RSVP We will also be making mom a special handmade gift this year. You won't want to miss it. Here is the card we are making.

So for some reason I have been getting into making centerpieces lately. My family got together last weekend to celebrate several exciting things. One of them is my grandparents upcoming 50th anniversary. I wanted to make them something special and here is what I came up with. It features the awesome rosette die and some items from the spring catalog. Hope you like it.

Here is my grandma with it. Isn't she lovely? :)

Birthday Blog Hop

It's that time again and this month's hop features birthday cards. I combined a couple of stamps to make my card. I have the Road to Happiness stamp set sitting around and have not really used it much. So I dusted it off and made it work for a birthday card. I added Crystal Effects to the windshield to make it look more like a window. Hope you like it!

Stampin Up! is making me girly...

So here's the deal. Normally I am not a fan of frilly things or pink or butterflies, but lately I am getting more drawn to those things when it come to Stampin Up! products. Well I really overdid it the other night. I meet monthly with fellow demonstrators and we exchange card fronts to get ideas. In March, we did an over the top card swap and met and made each other's card designs. You are about to look at my design and the girly-est thing I have ever made, and I love it. It mostly features products from the spring catalog and kinda has that calm pink and beige look everyone is using in their weddings now-a-days. Hope you enjoy!

Easter Festivities Call for Decorations!

So I hosted my first holiday at my home this year. I wanted to make it special so I decided to make my decorations. I have been wanting a specific Stampin Up! product for a while now and was able to earn it half off the other day and finally get it. It is form the main catalog and it is the Designer Rosette Die. This allows you to easily make rosettes (also known as lollies) without having to measure and waist a lot of time. I love rosettes and was so excited to get this product. So here was what I came up with.

I hung this from our big tree out back along with lots of plastic eggs. It has the same thing on both side so no matter what side you are looking at it you get the message. Here is the view from the tree and my handsome husband modeling it for me. :)

And one with both of us.

The next things I made were centerpieces. I found the idea for them on Pinterest. The first one features some of my favorite Easter candy.

The next one featured the eggs we died the night before. The best part is we got to eat all this stuff later.

Here they are featured on the tables.

I hope you liked my Easter decoration ideas all starting with the Designer Rosette Die.
